A word from Felicia
Since 2001, Dress for Success Warren Youngstown has been dedicated to helping people build independence and confidence. We began with our suiting program (2001–2007) and have since expanded to offer professional attire vouchers, online courses, customized employer workshops, and continuing education for insurance professionals. Empowering individuals remains at the heart of everything we do.
The work ahead
Clothing opens doors — but lasting self-sufficiency means naming the barriers that still stand in the way.
Reliable care is often the difference between accepting a job offer and turning it down.
Getting to interviews, shifts, and appointments should not be a barrier to stability.
Confidence and wellbeing are part of career readiness — not extras on the side.
Impact
Your continued support helps us expand programs that respond directly to these needs. We are currently working on the Hope & Grace Voucher Program, which will help individuals who do not qualify for childcare assistance through Job and Family Services. We are also developing our mobile office to bring services closer to the people who need them.

Today

Names shared with permission. Every story below started with one appointment.

“I had two interviews and nothing to wear to either one. I left with a suit, a folder of notes, and the first real confidence I’d felt in a year. I start as a unit clerk in March.”

“The women’s group is the part nobody warns you about. You come for clothes and you stay because eight other women are tracking your progress like it’s their own.”

“At fifty-four I thought I was too late to restart. They rebuilt my resume around twenty years of caregiving. I’ve been at the same employer three years now.”
